Psychological Suspense · Women Taking Back Control
The Women Who Moved on the Same Day
About the book
Five women left five different men before sunrise.
By breakfast, every man had already decided what the city would believe about her.
At 4:17 in the morning, property manager Asha Freeman gets called to Briar Gate Apartments over a broken hallway light.
Instead, she watches a woman quietly load her belongings into an SUV and disappear before the man upstairs realizes she is gone.
A few hours later, Asha hears about another woman who left.
Then another.
Then another.
By noon, five women have walked out of five different homes across Richmond on the exact same morning.
They are not friends.
They do not work together.
They do not belong to the same church.
There is no secret group chat, no coordinated escape plan, and no obvious connection between them.
But the men they left behind all sound strangely familiar.
One says she became unstable.
Another says she was ungrateful.
One insists he saved her.
Another claims somebody put ideas in her head.
And while the women remain completely silent, the men begin telling their stories for them.
Asha knows coincidence when she sees it.
This isn’t coincidence.
Something was supposed to happen in Richmond that night—something important enough that five different women decided they would rather disappear before sunrise than stand beside the men who had already prepared to explain them.
Now Asha has one question:
What did all five women know was coming?
Because sometimes a woman doesn’t leave because she has nowhere to go.
Sometimes she leaves because she finally understands what staying is about to cost her.
And these five women decided to move before somebody else made their story official.
Be first to hear what comes next.
